How much does ERC20 gas cost?

By looking a ERC20 transfer calls on etherscan.io, it seems that the gas cost is between 50.000 and 105.000. I have set the gas limit to 200.000 on a wallet that I have built. So far, I have not encountered an ERC20 transfer call that has exceeded this limit. You answered your own question. Yes, ussually ERC20 transfers are arround those values.

What is gas price & gas limit?

Gas Price and Gas Limit are Ethereum-only concepts. Essentially they are very simple: the gas is used to power your transaction on the Ethereum blockchain. A standard Ethereum (ETH) transaction will generally use up to 21000 gas (with ERC20 tokens up to 100000 or even 150000). Token gas usage may vary.

How much does it cost to move ERC-20 tokens?

For example, I have X amount of ERC-20 token that I am trying to move between two wallets. The gas fee for this transaction is ~$$50. During the same time, if I attempt to move 100X of another ERC-20 token, the gas fee is the same. So the question is, does it cost the same whether you send 100 dollar or 10,000 worth token?

How much does a EC20 transfer cost?

Getting the eth balance costs 20. Validating the address of an elliptic curve signature costs 3000. So a typical erc20 transfer will cost around 45k gas if the recipient didnt have any tokens before: 21k base + 20k to store the brand new token balance for this user + a few thousand for the validations, flow and event.
